In this residency I used my own body in the creation of my works. The drawing experience lived in the last residence in Mexico gave me the awareness of the performativity of drawing and I wanted to extreme that experience with the arrangement of sheets of paper on the floor and the use of my feet as drawing tools. In my photographic work, the destruction of the ruin is tense with the symmetry of the frame, the social trauma is in tune with my own traumatic experiences. On this occasion in Berlin, I wanted to take a leap towards meditation and performance as a way to induce a healing process. I experimented in my studio with different ways of performing and drawing, I used my hands, my feet, dance, and slow walking. Little by little my work began to expand towards the experience of the body, the experience of drawing and the experience of sound. Coming into contact with the basic materials of drawing allowed me to know the vibrancy of the non-human life and incorporate a new ecological awareness until that moment. 

I called the result of the experience at GlogauAIR “Methodology to go from the surface to the body through the materiality of drawing” and this methodology is the synthesis that unifies my photographic work with drawing, sculpture, performance and installation.
